"We'll be back next year!" That was the message from an overwhelming majority of visitors and exhibitors at this year's ITB Asia in Singapore.

More than 6,000 visitors and 679 exhibitors took part in the region's second international tourism fair, held in Singapore from 21 to 23 October.

The Opening Ceremony had a jazz theme, with a performance by Singapore's D'Jazz Ensemble.

An average of 17 out of 20 trade visitors said they had an overall positive impression and intended to return next year, according to an independent survey.

Nearly 9 out of 10 exhibitors declared their intention to participate in ITB Asia 2010.

More than 4 out of 5 trade visitors came from Asia, with just over half being tour operators and travel agenmartin-buckcies. Accommodation, Business Travel, and MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions) were among other segments of the tourism industry prominently-represented.

Dr Martin Buck (left), Messe Berlin (Singapore) Director, declared:"This has been a solid achievement and a

very promising basis for further real growth in the year ahead".
