Welcome to JazzRadio World, your new international jazz radio station!

We are broadcasting 24 hours around the clock, in English, from Berlin, Germany, with associates in many other countries around the globe.

Our base is at the Berlin Marriott Hotel, where we broadcast a live programme segment every day from 6 PM - midnight (Central European Time). That's noon - 6 PM in New York, 8 PM - 2 AM in Moscow, and 1 AM - 7 AM in Shanghai.

You can join in the action by watching our presenters' live images streamed on camera directly from our studio in the hotel lounge.

Our aim is simply to play the best jazz from anywhere, around the world. We have a library of 50,000 jazz tracks and will be airing a selection of about 3,000 at any one time.

Although jazz began in the USA, with its roots even further back in African music, it is now truly international, with great jazz being made and performed in almost every country on earth.

TEAM
Julian’s World View

julianThe vision of JazzRadio World chief Julian Allitt is to provide a jazz radio station which "belongs to every listener in every country."

An experienced radio professional, Julian believes jazz has so far been neglected by broadcasters in many countries.

He has spent the past 12 years developing JazzRadio 101.9 in Berlin as Europe's most successful FM jazz station. The station has won no less than 19 worldmedals at the New York International Radio Awards, including three times Gold for "Best Jazz Format."

Prior to that, Julian - who is English - has led five radio stations in England and been a political journalist in London.
